No. There is no need to download and install software which allows you, your customers and your agents to use Skymol Communicator. No Java applets or custom applications are necessary. You need only a browser.

We recommend you to use Internet Explorer 6.0 and up or Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up.
 
For Windows, we support Internet Explorer 6.0 and up, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up, Opera 8.51 and up, Google Chrome 0.2.149.27 and up, Netscape 8.0.2 onwards.
 
For Apple Mac users, we support Internet Explorer 6.0 and up, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up, Opera 8.52 and up and Safari 1.2 onwards.

What browsers do Skymol Communicator support for website visitors?
 
 
A:
The following information relates to browser requirements for site visitors wishing to communicate with you with voice, video and text chat. For Windows, we support Internet Explorer 6.0 and up, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up, Opera 8.51 and up, Google Chrome 0.2.149.27 and up onwards.
 
For Apple Mac users, we support Internet Explorer 6.0 and up, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up, Opera 8.52 and up and Safari 1.2 onwards.
 
Other browsers such as Camino, Konqueror, etc. may work successfully, but are not supported.

What are the system requirements for using Skymol Communicator?

These are the minimum system requirements for an agent using Skymol Communicator:
 
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 and up, or Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4 and up
  • Standard sound card and headset or USB headset
These are minimum requirements, and are subject to change.

Q:
Just finished Free Trial Signing Up. What shall I do now?
 
 
A:
After your signing up we are going to check the data, especially the web site URL address you've provided us, within 48 hours, and send you an ID (user name) and password with which you can get access to your Skymol Communicator Live Video Chat account.

Q:
I logged in to my Skymol Communicator Live Video Chat account, and I need to generate and paste the code. What do I do?
 
 
A:
If you already set up your departments and agents, click on the Code Generation button and select the service, the language, the department(s) or agent you'd like to generate the code for, and click on Generate code button.
The generated code for Skymol Communicator includes two tags. The first tag should be pasted into the head and the second one into the body of the HTML file of the web page you would like to use the service on.

I got the instructions for how to generate and paste the code, but it's not working. What suggestions can you offer?
 
 
A:
1.   Please check if the generated code (the entire tag(s)) is pasted in the right way. You shouldn't miss any letters from the code. If it still doesn't work then
2.   generate the code again and paste it. If it still doesn't work then
3.   contact our Support Team and make sure you include a complete description of the problem.

How can I use Skymol Communicator on my Yahoo! Store page?
 
 
A:
It's very simple. Yahoo! Store software supports the use of HTML, JavaScript, etc. thus allowing you to embed Skymol Communicator buttons and the generated code in your site. You embed your button wherever you wish.

I need to use Skymol Communicator at home. Can I use it on more than one PC?
 
 
A:
You are welcome to use Skymol Communicator on as many PCs as you wish because you don't need to install any software. You need only a browser, your ID and password to get access to your Skymol Communicator Live Video Chat account.

How can I customize the Communication Window?
 
 
A:
You can fully customize both the agent and customer communication windows.
For the agent communication window you can customize the following:
·     Background color (same color on customer communication window)
·     Text area background color (same color on customer communication window)
·     Font color (same color on customer communication window)
·     Rollover color
·     Text rollover color
·     Selection color
·     Selected text color
·     Header color
·     Text color on background (same color on customer communication window)
 
For the customer communication window you can customize the following:
·     Background color
·     Text area background color
·     Font color
·     Text color on background
·     Logo (Width: 130 pixels, Height: 41 pixels)
·     Header images on the top of the windows – use JPG or PNG or GIF images with the following dimensions:
·       Width: 550 pixels
·       Height: 150 pixels
 
You can set up different logos, different header images and skin for your website(s) down to even web pages by selecting them from the URL drop down boxes

How do I implement customized voice, voice & video or text chat buttons?
 
 
A:
We recommend you create your own custom voice, voice & video or text chat buttons and invitations. Any common graphic editing software can be used to achieve this. The images must be hosted on a folder on your web server and can be any size.
You should place the button on your page and you also should generate and paste the Skymol Communicator as a URL.

How can I add an additional agent to my Skymol Communicator Live Video Chat account?

Skymol Communicator Live Video Chat account types don't let you add additional agent licenses yourself. If you would like to add additional agent(s) to your account, please contact your Account Manager at any time.

What firewall IP settings are required for Skymol Communicator?
 
 
A:
Your firewall or other hardware/software defense should be configured to allow two-way communications to Skymol servers for ports 1935 and 5020.
If you need to configure addresses, please use the following: 74.53.207.26 and 75.125.122.122
Note: You must disable any requirement for login session timeouts, or periodic re-authentication.

By the help of the uploaded site map you can easily display your web pages to your customer during the chat session. You must upload the site map in XML file format.
